inchambers.ai is a privacy-first AI legal assistant that runs entirely in your browser. Whether you use it as a Microsoft Word Add-in or through our standalone web application, your documents never leave your device.

Why Privacy Matters for Legal Work

Legal professionals handle some of the most sensitive information imaginable — client communications, contract negotiations, litigation strategies, and privileged documents. Traditional AI tools require uploading these documents to external servers, creating significant ethical and compliance risks.

inchambers.ai takes a fundamentally different approach. Every analysis, every draft, every AI interaction happens client-side. Your API keys are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM. Your documents are processed in your browser. Nothing touches our servers.

Setting Up Your First Analysis

Getting started takes less than two minutes:

1. Install the Add-in — Open Microsoft Word, go to Insert → Get Add-ins, and search for inchambers.ai. Alternatively, visit app.inchambers.ai for the web application.

1. Connect an AI Provider — Navigate to Settings and enter your API key for any supported provider: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Mistral, Cohere, or Groq. Free tier users can start immediately with our shared DeepSeek key.

1. Open a Document — Load any contract, agreement, or legal document. Once inchambers.ai detects 100+ words, it automatically triggers a Preliminary Analysis.

1. Explore the Results — The analysis identifies jurisdictions, extracts statutes, maps parties, and rates section importance. From here, you can run Risk Analysis, review tracked changes with Redline Analysis, or draft new content.
